"After the Darmstadt realization of Granulation by Stop Motion, Nico Couck asked me to write a piece for him that featured mechanized movements for his "apparatus" tour. As my head was already in this Vine short-duration looping space, I figured that this type of material would work well for his request. I got on my hands and knees, filmed myself making strange noises on the guitar, uploaded them to Vine, then eventually auditioned this material for what would be something of a "vine compilation" using a video editor. I then transcribed the rhythms and tones of this vine compilation, and wrote a guitar part over it. "
